Libyan official: No tolerance with MB

Tripoli - Spokesperson of the Libyan Armed Forces, Colonel Ahmed Al-Mesmari ruled out reconciliation with the Muslim Brotherhood if they do not announce repentance.

He added, in televised statements on Monday, "It is not possible to tolerate a Libyan citizen who allowed a foreign individual to enter the country to fight against another Libyan citizen." 

What happened in Libya shows everyone what they are, the military official said.  

Mesmari's statements came a few days after the increasing criticism launched by Marshal Khalifa Haftar against the Muslim Brotherhood, as he described the group as the most dangerous organizations in Libya. He accused them of working to eliminate the Libyan police and army.

He stressed that there are countries working to prolong the Libyan war, including Qatar that works to keep its control on Libyan oil, and Turkey that aspires to restore the Ottoman Caliphate. He added, “The Libyan crisis will be resolved only by Libyans under Arab auspices. The tribes should play a major role in this regard.”
