Cairo – A new internal war erupted among members of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group after some of its members accused Christian supporters of being agents of the Egyptian state and church.
Such accusations were leveled by several members, topped by MB leading figure Ayat Oraby, against Christians supporting MB-linked ousted president Mohamed Morsi and opposing the June 30 Revolution.
Oraby waged a war against political activist Akram Baktar on her Facebook page, accusing him of betrayal and calling for expelling him, along with all pro-Morsi Christians, from the group. Baktar also declared a similar war on Facebook and denied all these claims.

This war was preceded by a fiercer one between Ayman Nour, head of pro-MB Al-Sharq satellite channel, and Hany Sorial, a leading member of the so-called MB-linked Revolutionary Council, who lives in Australia.
Sorial accused Nour of betrayal and attempts to cause rifts and divisions among supporters of ousted president Morsi. In turn, Nour waged a war against Sorial and all pro-Morsi Christians through MB committees used by the head of Al-Sharq channel.
Furthermore, MB leading member Mohamed Sharaf launched a fierce war against pro-Morsi Christians, stressing that there are not any Egyptian Christians supporting Morsi or MB group.
Morsi, ousted since 2013 following the popular protests of the June 30 Revolution, is backed by some Christians.
