Cairo - The statement issued by the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), to
congratulate Hamas on the election of its new political chief reflects the group’s
lack of political sense, as the statement humiliated Hamas leaders who had issued
a statement to announce their separation from Muslim Brotherhood.
The statement provided clear evidence that Hamas is still a
major part of Muslim Brotherhood which called upon the Palestinian Hamas movement to follow the same approach adopted by the MB founder Hassan Al Bana and its
former leader Sayed Qutb.
Young members of Muslim Brotherhood expressed their
resentment over the statement, describing it as an attempt to humiliate Hamas
before the international community.
Former member of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB),
Tariq Al Bishbishi, commented on the recent statement issued by the MB to
congratulate Hamas on the election of its new chief, Ismail Haniya, saying that
such a congratulatory statement is considered as part of the psychological war
launched by the group against the countries of the region.
He added that the message behind the congratulatory
statement, which the group aims to send, is that the MB leads all its branches
in the region and any changes in their tactics come in coordination with the
group. He stressed that the statement is considered a major response to those
people who believe the lies of Hamas about its separation from
the Muslim Brotherhood.
He stressed that the statement provides clear evidence
that Hamas is a major part of the group, saying that Hamas’s
statement, issued days ago, is just one of the group’s tactics aiming to
restore the sympathy of Arab people after the notable drop in its popularity.
The Muslim Brotherhood issued a statement on
Tuesday to congratulate Hamas on the election of its new bureau. The statement
came just days after Hamas announced its separation from the Muslim
Brotherhood.
