Evangelical Church in Nasr City organizes 'Banquet of Love'

Cairo- With the spirit of Ramadan, the Evangelical Church in Nasr City in Egypt organized the 'Banquet of Love'.
On Wednesday evening, the Evangelical Church in Nasr City organized a banquet in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan at the church’s headquarters. The event was attended by many public figures and politicians, such as Ezzat Shaker and George Azmy, priests of the church, Peter Adel, a priest in Alexandria, Bishop Yohana Qalta, in addition to a number of catholic nuns, several former ministers an members of parliament, society figures, media personnel and Muslim and Christian men of religion. 
In his speech, Father Ezzat Shaker said, “This is a banquet of love to convey the message of Jesus Christ who loved everyone equally with no discrimination.”  

Bishop Yohana Qalta stated, “Egypt is a difficult country to break.  After every crisis, Egypt always emerges stronger and more unified.” 
 

Sheikh Mazhar Shahin said, “Egyptians have always formed a unified society. We have a history of a strong and loving relationship between Muslims and Christians.

This is a fact that we do not need to discuss now and I call on everyone to confront the powers of evil and terrorism and fight it with all their might.”
Sheikh Ahmed El Turk then recited verses of poetry, expressing the bond between Egyptian Muslims and Christians.
