Pope Tawadros II greets PM on Eid al-Fitr

Cairo - Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark Diocese has greeted Egypt’s Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

In his cable of greetings on Friday, the Pope wished success for Ismail in his bids to boost Egypt’s development march and achieve the Egyptian people’s aspirations.

Eid al-Fitr (festival of breaking of the fast) is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan. 

This year, Eid al-Fitr is scheduled to fall on June 25 or 26.
