Mahmoud underlined that the
Brotherhood’s leaders launched incitement propaganda against the state
institutions, including the military and security authorities, and justified
their propaganda as legitimate Jihad.
However, he added, the
group’s leaders backed down and left their supporters in the square to face the
consequences of their inciting propaganda aiming to achieve the Brotherhood’s
political ambitions, while they travelled to Qatar and Turkey.
Regarding the
Brotherhood’s claims of over the violations committed by security forces during
dispersal, Mahmoud said that such claims are a part of their smear campaign to embarrass
the Egyptian authorities, while ignoring their crimes of inciting violence,
murder and torture of whoever criticized or opposed them.
