Cairo - The Ministry of Interior has finalized an action plan to secure high school examinations, and forcefully respond to any attempt to disrupt the examinations of this year.

During his meeting with the directors of public security, information and Internet management and criminal investigations, Interior Minister Major General Magdy Abdul Ghaffar stressed the necessity of guarding schools from the outside and stationing maximum sentries on the streets that lead to the examination halls.

Abdul Ghaffar also said that extra traffic police will be deployed to ensure smooth traffic flows and facilitate students' access to their examination halls on time.

The minister has asked his aides to activate the emergency cars service in order to help students who might encounter problems hindering them to reach examination venues [on time]. The ministry is also making sure to provide all amenities for high school students and their families during this important stage of their children’s education.

The emergency car will be there to safely drive students, who might arrive late, to venues of the morning and evening examination rounds.

Abdul Ghaffar pointed out to the need to monitor internet pages that try to influence students to cheat during the exams. The National Network for Cyberspace Control will close down any page with such activities that are detrimental to Egyptian students, and bring their perpetrators to justice.

Security services will be using high-tech countermeasure equipment (remote jammers) for mobile phones or Bluetooth devices that might be used for cheating. The jammers will be installed on police vehicles that will be patrolling areas with a large number of schools where examinations are to be held.
