Cairo- Egyptian Minister of Defense and Military Production called for protecting soldiers from counter psychological campaigns, particularly in terms of the growing development of social media networks.
Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Sedki Sobhi stressed that Egypt faces challenges requiring that everyone should fulfill his duties. Egypt’s counterterrorism strategy depends on cooperation between all state-run institutions rather than focusing only on security or military dimensions.
Speaking to students from the Nasser Higher Military Academy, he pointed out that the armed forces shoulder the burden of developing all technical and administrative aspects of the main branches and different units. Sobhi added that the armed forces also carry the responsibility to develop and improve capabilities of soldiers, the most important element of the creed of the Egyptian armed forces.
