Cairo - Egypt’s Al-Azhar institution strongly condemned the terrorist attack that took place in Mogadishu, capital of Somalia, which left at least 19 people dead on Thursday.
A suicide bomber drove a car and rammed into the Posh Hotel, south of Mogadishu, while other gunmen attacked an adjacent hotel of Pizza House, as the terrorists took 20 people hostages on Wednesday evening.
Al-Azhar, the highest seat of Islamic learning, issued a statement of its utter rejection of such acts that target innocent civilians, stating that such terrorist acts
reflect the terrorists’ inhumanity.
Al Azhar called on the international community for intensifying
efforts to confront terrorism that poses serious threats to the region and
targets innocent people all over the world.
