Arab & International condemnation on Minya terrorist attack in Egypt

The UAE has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a bus that was carrying Coptic Christians to a monastery in the Minya governorate in of Egypt, which resulted in at least 26, deaths and injured a large number of others.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in a statement, has affirmed the solidarity of the UAE with Egypt, stating that the country is standing by Egypt's side in the face of this criminal and malicious act. "We stand with Egypt and its people against extremism and terrorism," the ministry said, describing this attack as a "new crime added to the black record of terrorism and terrorists."

It called on all countries worldwide to stand together to eradicate this serious scourge, which aims to destroy communities and spread chaos, stoke conflict and division among the people of a country.

The ministry expressed its confidence in the cohesion of the Egyptian people and their ability throughout history "to uphold their national unity and unique social fabric to defeat this abhorrent terrorism by all means."

It extended the condolences of the UAE leadership, government and its people to the families of the victims and hopes for a swift recovery to the injured. 

Kuwait offers condolences to Egypt

Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on Friday, sent a cable to Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi expressing condolences and sympathy over the victims of the armed terrorist attack that targeted a bus carrying Coptic Christians in Minya, southern Egypt, killing and wounding scores of people.
His Highness the Amir reiterated Kuwait's strong condemnation of these criminal heinous acts that target security and stability. His Highness the Amir reaffirmed Kuwait's support to Egypt and whatever measures Cairo might take to counter such acts of terrorism.
His Royal Highness stressed Kuwait's unwavering stance rejecting all forms of terrorism, as well as the country's support to the international community in the fight against it and draining its financing sources.
His Highness the Amir prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow his mercy and forgiveness upon the deceased victims, wishing the wounded a rapid recovery.
His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent two similar cables of condolences to the Egyptian president.
