Pope Francis lauds Sisi' brave development steps since June 30 Revolution

Vatican - Pope Francis of the Vatican praised the courageous steps taken by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to develop the country at all levels since June 30 Revolution.

The pope expressed deep appreciation for the cordial and political ties the bind him and the Egyptian president.

The pontiff made the remarks while receiving Egypt’s Ambassador to the Vatican Hatem Seif El-Nasr to bid farewell to the Egyptian diplomat whose term in office will end soon.

During the meeting, Pope Francis hailed the impetus that was given to relations between Egypt and the Vatican. He also highlighted his relations with the Egyptian religious leaderships, topped by Al-Azhar and the Coptic Orthodox Church.
