Military expert: Qatari Emir in state of fear, anxiety

Cairo - A military expert said on Tuesday that Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani continuously lives in a state of fear and anxiety.

Maj. Gen. Mohamed El-Ghobashi told Al-Bawaba News that the Qatari Emir seeks Turkey’s help to secure his palace. Tamim can neither make nor take decisions, but his task is merely to implement plots of foreign countries to divide the Arab region, according to the expert.

El-Ghobashi ruled out that Qatari army may lead a coup against Tamim’s regime to save the Gulf Arab country after many Arab countries cut ties with Doha. He explained that the members of Qatari army are afraid of being exposed to the oppression and dictatorship of the Qatari Emir in case their coup failed, as was the case in Turkey.

Tamim always seeks to have illusion leadership although he does have potential to do so, according to the military expert.

On June 5, Egypt, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia severed relations with Qatar on accusations of backing terrorism.
